I ran out of my Provamel yogurts and in order to buy the flavours I enjoy, I needed a trip to the other side of my town to an organic store (that is accidentally the supplier for our market).
The last time I was there, it was not a pretty experience for my wallet. Needless to say, this time it was worse. Since I don't go to that store daily, I need to stock up when I do visit. So, yogurts, cream, soy milk where in abundunce, but I also tried a tofu wiener schnitzel (ha ha) and some minced tofu that is being cooked right now as part of my lunch tomorrow as some kind of bolognese sauce with peas and carrots. Need to stock up on proteins.
Speaking of proteins, I put a hold on my quest for hemp protein powder for now, and instead bought some nutritional yeast, some powdered wheat sprouts and hemp seeds. Gosh, I can't imagine actually consuming any of those (and I have the least problem with hemp seeds, since I have been eating it in hemp chocolate), but I just can't imagine mixing it in smoothies (?!) or sprinkling over sauce (?!). Anyway, I just made sure there was plenty of protein in there, I'll deal with flavors later.
In other news, my blender should be arriving tomorrow, which means we'll be blending away tomorrow! I've stocked up on bananas & strawberries, so I'm fully ready.
