Yesterday, I had a major slip. I blame it on the PMS urge to eat junk food, but it's really no exuse. I had a toast. Actually, I had 2 of those, with cheese AND ham! Oh my! It was good, of course, but it was a one-time thing. It's probably due to my menu yesterday:
Breakfast: oat meal with soy milk and a drop of chocolate syrup, coffee, juice
Snack: cherries, banana
Lunch: large salad (organic lettuce, carrot, cucumber, red bell pepper, corn)
Snack: watermelon, some chips :)
Dinner: toast
Yeah, I gave in to the cravings, damn.
But I'm back to being a good and harmless human today with a lunch of my beloved chow mein. It replaced the chinese fried noodles, obviously, and a much healthier choice.
And surprise today. After looking at it for so long, today I gave in and bought a vegan tiramisu dessert. Coffee-soaked cookies, soy cream and tofu crumble.
Not the best on the market (I do prefer when I make it myself with vegan pudding), but it will do. Not sure if I'm buying it again, though. I'll stick to chow mein :)
In other news, I've been searching for a nice dress to wear to the upcoming weddings this summer and finally, I came across a design I really liked:
Pretty, right? They told me it costs 170,00 eur which for a dress like this is alright and I almost made an appointment for a fit-try, then they told me they have none in stock and that I could try something similar. And then, something clicked, and I went on ebay, only to find this. I mean, same thing for £25.99? Are you kidding me?? It appears, they, too, just order it from ebay and re-sell for a higher price. What a joke!
I'm probably ordering it from ebay then. Even if it doesn't quite fit and I need to take it to the seamstress it's still cheaper. Or, I can just go on diet, I have a few months :)

First of all, I know it does not help, but from my side, you are excused :D PMS urge to eat is a hell of a thing, unfortunately.
ReplyDeleteOMG, the tiramisu looks awesome... I'm in love with it, I could eat all my mom makes at home, one of the biggest temptations of my life :D
The dress looks fabulous, promise us to show photos of yourself once you've bought it (or any other dress you'd finally choose)
1. yeah, I'm not blaming myself for the slip, it happens. Not often, but here and there. The important thing is I'm doing the best I can :)
ReplyDelete2. Well the tiramisu turned out to be - pretty, yes, but I did not eat half of it. It's just something about the taste that reppels me. I think it might be soy cream, which I still haven't found one that tasted ok in desserts. There goes my 3 eur in the garbage, I'm afraid.
3. Yeah, I'm probably ordering the dress from ebay, I just need to decide on the color. I like the color in the picture (wine red), but when I try to select it it just says "red" or "scarlet" or similar, which is not a red I want. So I might go with black and have my little black dress for every occasion and combine it with a bolero, purse and shoes in same color, just don't know which color to focus on with black. Sandy? Light blue?
Vegan tiramisu.... love the thought that it exists! (I don't really have an idea what a regular tiramisu consists of, though)
ReplyDeleteWith that dress - it was meant to be that they refused you. Such "thieves"!! That's just unbelievable...
Peta, don't tell me you never ate tiramisu? Seriously?
ReplyDeleteAbout the dress: it has arrived yesterday to my mailbox and fits like a glove! It's absolutely what I dreamt it would be and I'm ready to do some serious wedding dancing in it! :)) And for 35 pounds!
Oh, I've eaten it, I've just never really cared about what it's made of :D :D
ReplyDeleteWooooow, I'm so happy for you to be happy about your dress! You show them all how to dance at a wedding :D
